Coastal Properties named 2017 Affiliate of the Year in the mid-size market category by Christie’s International Real Estate
Founded with Christie’s branding as a start-up in 2012, the firm has roared to the top of the local luxury market in just five years.
 Christie’s International Real Estate, the world’s leading luxury real estate network, has honored Coastal Properties as the winner of the coveted Affiliate of the Year award in the mid-size market category, determined by a population size between 275,000 – 1,750,000. Owner Alex Jansen accepted the crystal obelisk trophy at the gala dinner and presentation at the world-renowned Alvear Palace Hotel, an icon of Belle Époque grandeur in Buenos Aires since 1932. The award was presented by Rick Moeser, Executive Director of Christie’s International Real Estate, before a crowded room of network colleagues and owners.
Noted Mr. Moeser: “Coastal Properties began when Alex Jansen and his team of 12, top producers at a national franchise, left to start their own brokerage with Christie’s branding in July of 2012. In only five years, sales skyrocketed from $40 million in 2012 to $810 million in 2017. Last year, Coastal posted a year-over-year increase in $1 million-plus sales of 26% (72 vs. 91 transactions) to be crowned the number one brokerage in Pinellas County for existing luxury home sales. The company also achieved the highest sale ever for a waterfront estate in the county: $11,180,000. Current agent count exceeds 200 with 12 office locations.” |
