When comparing 3 months ending September 2011 to the same quarter in the prior year, the MEDIAN home price has decreased 2.17% however, the NUMBER of homes sold has increased 14.82% and the number of homes on the market has decreased.

Mortgage rates for a 30 year fixed average 4.00% according to Bankrate.
